Pool Service
Stone Pools strives for a lifetime of service with you. Your pool is an expensive investment that requires routine care and maintenance.
It is important that when you close your pool for the season the pool is wintered over properly. Failure to do so can result in ice damage that can tear liners and dent pool walls or cause damage to skimmers.
Stone pools offers pool closing services that will warranty the closing is done properly. This closing is usually done at a reduced price for the first season you own your pool. The closing includes cleaning and storing of equipment, winterizing chemicals and covering of pool.
Service calls for pools are $85.00. This money is applied to the cost of labor / materials should you chose to hire us to complete the job. Please remember, pools that are one swimming season old or have been “wintered over” are no longer covered in the installation warranty.
We are happy to provide closings and openings of pools for our customers and carry with us any equipment or chemicals you may need. To make arrangements for these services simply ask your installer about them when they are installing your pool or call the office and we will be happy to assist you.
Insurance estimates
Due to the high volume of calls we take asking for insurance estimates, we are not able to offer these free of charge. Insurance estimates require field time, and office hours. Many times in the past we have done numerous estimates, and then the customer does not hire us to complete the work. If you are in need of a professional insurance estimate the charge for this is $150.00. This can/will be added to the total of the estimate we submit to you or your insurance agent. Estimates are detailed, and professionally submitted to our customer’s insurance companies. Call the office for more information.
Let’s talk about openings
Our techs do hundreds of above ground and in ground openings each spring. With each new season of installations that number grows exponentially.
The month of May is by FAR the busiest month here at Stone Pools. Installs and openings and service are on our schedule…to bursting!
Each season we are met with customers who are disappointed that we cannot get to their pool before the big buzz words of the month, Memorial Day Weekend.
Our biggest tip for our customers regarding openings is this: Call EARLY! Yes it’s March, heck there may even be snow on the ground, but if you call us then, it assures you a spot when you want it. Should you set up a date in April or May and it is still too chilly for you, then all you have to do is call and we will move you back a week or two. But because you called early, you will be assured a spot before the big holiday.
We do not like to disappoint any of our customers. However, there are only so many days in a month or week, and only so many hours in a day. We have a full staff, but our schedule can be daunting at times. Remember, CALL EARLY!!!
One last tip. Some of our customers have been given Dave Stone’s cell phone number. He will most likely be out in the field up to his knees in a pool installation. He will then have to stop what he is doing only to ask you to please call the office to schedule. Always call the office first!
We are here 5 days a week, sometimes 6 days to help you.
A bit about liner replacements
We take one hundred calls or more regarding liner replacements for above ground pools
Pool liners are not cheap! Many times when customers call our office for pricing on a liner replacement, there is a pause of disbelief when they hear what the labor cost is.
We are also met with the response that “other companies” will do a liner replacement for considerably less.
We would take a moment to explain the process of a liner replacement. Inform you on what we provide, and explain why these “other companies” are “cheaper”.
Stone pools asks ONE thing of our liner customers. Drain your pool down to 6″ or less, we do the rest! These so called “cheaper” companies do not provide a complete liner replacement.
Here are some things to ask when calling other places about liner replacements…
1. Do you haul the old liner away, or will I have to dispose of it?
Yes, Stone Pools does haul the old liner away for you.
2. Do you bring additional sand and “re-work” the pool floor?
Yes, Stone Pools brings sand and makes sure the pool floor is smooth and very wrinkle free.
3. Do you take the pool apart, and put everything including my pump and filter back together?
Yes, Stone Pools does all labor required for a proper liner replacement.
Be sure that the “cheaper” price you are given includes the above mentioned labor and materials. Most companies do NOT haul away your old liner. Buyer beware!
